Hi BS Team,
Thank you for all the support and fast resolutions on issues, we really appreciate your effort.
We are currently experiencing a serious issue with the PWA notification system and we need your technical team to investigate. The platform already has a PWA app that asks users/subscribers to allow notifications. Initially, the notification works well after the user allows it. However, after some time, especially when the user has not actively opened the PWA for a while, the push notifications stop coming and the only way the notification starts working again is when the user goes back to the settings page, disables the notification, and then enables/allows it again. Once they do that, notifications start working again temporarily.
This is a major issue because users depends heavily on real-time message notifications. Businesses use the platform to receive and respond to customer messages, so when notifications stop working silently they miss important customer enquiries and orders.
Another issue we noticed is that after some time, the PWA logs users out automatically. Once the user is logged out, notifications either stop working or are affected. The user may not even know they have been logged out, so they assume everything is fine while they are actually missing new message alerts.
Please we need this to be investigated so that notifications remain active and reliable even when the user is inactive or has not opened the PWA for some time. This is really affecting us because users are missing customer messages when the app becomes inactive or logs them out. Kindly treat this as a priority because real-time notification is very important for all users.
Please review the PWA notification implementation, service worker, push subscription lifecycle, session expiry logic, and notification delivery flow.
Thank you.
