TL;DR:
Quick Summary: BotSailor makes Google Sheets Telegram integration simple. First, open Chatbot Manager, select your Telegram bot, and go to Integrations → Google Sheets. Connect and authorize your Google account, sync the account, and create a Google Sheet. Then open Keyword Replies, create or edit a bot flow, configure your trigger keyword, and select the Google Sheet under Data & Integrations → Sync Data to Google Sheets. Add your bot reply, save the flow, and test the automation from Telegram. When the trigger is activated, the relevant Telegram subscriber data can be stored automatically in your connected Google Sheet.
What Is Telegram Google Sheets Integration in BotSailor?

A Telegram Google Sheets bot allows you to automatically transfer information from Telegram conversations into a Google spreadsheet instead of manually copying customer or subscriber information.

With the BotSailor Google Sheets integration, your Telegram chatbot can collect and organize information in Google Sheets as part of an automated bot flow. BotSailor supports Google Sheets across its chatbot channels and specifically promotes Google Sheets for logging leads, survey answers, and subscriber information from Telegram automation.

For example, when someone sends a specific message to your BotSailor Telegram bot, BotSailor can trigger a flow, respond to the user, and simultaneously send relevant subscriber information to your selected Google Sheet.

This can be useful for:

  • ● Lead collection
  • ● Customer databases
  • ● Registration information
  • ● Survey responses
  • ● Telegram subscriber records
  • ● Customer support requests
  • ● Sales inquiries
  • ● Campaign tracking

Now, let's see how to integrate Google Sheets with Telegram step by step.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Step 1: Open Chatbot Manager

Log in to your BotSailor account. From the main dashboard, go to Chatbot Manager. You will see the bots and accounts connected to your BotSailor account.

Select the Telegram bot that you want to connect with Google Sheets. For example, in our demonstration, a Telegram bot has already been connected to BotSailor and is available inside the Bot/Accounts section.

Step 2: Open the Integrations Section

After selecting your Telegram bot, you will see several options at the top of the bot management screen, such as:

  • ● Automation
  • ● Data Collection
  • ● AI
  • ● Engagement
  • ● Group Manager
  • ● Integrations

Click Integrations, then select Google Sheets. The Google Sheets area allows you to connect and configure Google Sheets for your Telegram bot. The basic path is:

Chatbot Manager → Telegram Bot → Integrations → Google Sheets

BotSailor's current documentation uses the same workflow for accessing Google Sheets integration from a chatbot account.

Step 3: Connect Your Google Account

If you haven't connected a Google account yet, click Connect Google Account. You will be taken to the BotSailor Google Integration page.

Click Sign in with Google and select the Google account that you want to use for your Google Sheets Telegram bot. Google will then show the permissions BotSailor is requesting. Review the requested access carefully and select the required permissions before clicking Continue.

BotSailor's documentation recommends using an active Google account and authorizing the permissions necessary for managing the Google Sheets used by the integration.

Step 4: Confirm That the Google Account Is Connected

After completing Google's authorization process, you will be redirected back to the Google Integration section in BotSailor. Your Google account should now appear under Google Accounts. You may also see the connected Google services listed underneath the account. In our example, the connected services include:

  • ● Google Sheets & Drive
  • ● Google Calendar
  • ● Google Contacts

This confirms that the Google account has successfully been connected to BotSailor.

Step 5: Sync Your Google Account Data

After connecting your Google account, locate the Sync Data button next to the connected account and click it.

This helps BotSailor refresh the information associated with your connected Google account so that available Google resources can be used inside the platform. Once the synchronization is complete, continue to the Google Sheets section.

Step 6: Create a New Google Sheet

Scroll down to the Google Sheets section and click Create New Sheet. BotSailor will open the Create Google Sheet window. You will normally see options such as:

  • ● Select Account
  • ● Sheet Title
  • ● Add Header

First, choose your connected Google account. Next, enter a recognizable Sheet Title, for example:

  • ● Telegram Customer Leads
  • ● Botsailor Telegram Leads

If you want organized columns for specific data, use Add Header to create the required column headings. BotSailor recommends using clean column headers and avoiding spaces or special characters. Examples could include:

  • ● User_ID
  • ● User_Name
  • ● Phone_Number
  • ● Email

After configuring the sheet, click Save. BotSailor will create the Google Sheet under the connected Google account.

Step 7: Check Your Newly Created Google Sheet

After saving it, your new sheet should appear in the Google Sheets list inside BotSailor. From the Actions section, you can open the sheet and check whether it was created correctly. When you open it, you should see the new Google spreadsheet in your Google account.

At this stage, the Google account and Google Sheet are ready. The next task is to connect the sheet to your Telegram automation.

Step 8: Go to Keyword Replies

Return to your Telegram bot in Chatbot Manager and select Automation → Keyword Replies. Keyword Replies allow your Telegram bot to start a particular automation when a user sends a specific keyword or phrase.

You can either edit an existing Keyword Reply or click Create to create a new one.

Step 9: Open the Flow Builder

Create or open the Keyword Reply that you want to use. This will take you to BotSailor's visual Flow Builder. The flow begins with the Start Bot Flow block. Click the Start Bot Flow section to configure how the Telegram automation should be triggered.

In the Start Bot Flow settings, select your Google Sheet under Data & Integrations → Sync Data to Google Sheets.

Step 10: Configure the Telegram Trigger Keyword

Inside the Start Bot Flow configuration, specify the keyword or phrase that should activate your automation. For example: Google Sheet Check.

You can also choose the keyword-matching behavior according to your campaign requirements. For a precise test, you can use Exact keyword match. This means that when a Telegram user sends the configured keyword, BotSailor starts this particular automation. So the basic workflow becomes:

Telegram User → Sends Trigger Keyword → BotSailor Flow Starts

Step 11: Sync the Telegram Bot Data to Google Sheets

This is the most important part of the Botsailor Google Sheets integration. While configuring the Start Bot Flow, find Data & Integrations, then locate Sync Data to Google Sheets.

Click the field and select your connected Google account. Next, select the Google Sheet you created earlier. For example: Botsailor Demo Video Test [Sheet1].

Once selected, the bot flow is connected to that Google Sheet. BotSailor can now use the Google Sheet as part of the Telegram automation and save configured user or subscriber information when the flow is triggered.

BotSailor also supports sending data collected from chatbot flows directly to Google Sheets, making the integration useful for automated lead collection and customer-data management. Click Save Changes when the configuration is complete.

Step 12: Add a Text Reply to the Telegram Flow

Next, add a Text block to the Flow Builder. Connect the Start Bot Flow block to the Text block. Enter the reply you want Telegram users to receive. For example: Hello! How are you?

The completed flow will now look similar to:

Trigger Keyword → Sync Data to Google Sheets → Send Telegram Reply

This gives the user an immediate Telegram response while the integration handles the data-saving process.

Step 13: Save the Telegram Bot Flow

After connecting and configuring the blocks, click Save at the top-right corner of the Flow Builder. Make sure that:

  • ● The trigger keyword is correct.
  • ● Your Google account is connected.
  • ● The correct Google Sheet is selected.
  • ● The Text block is connected to the Start Bot Flow.
  • ● The flow has been saved successfully.

Your Telegram bot with Google Sheets is now ready for testing.

Step 14: Test the Google Sheets Telegram Integration

Open Telegram and start a conversation with your connected bot. Send the trigger keyword you configured earlier, for example: Google Sheet Check.

If everything has been configured correctly, your Telegram bot should immediately send the automated response, for example: Hello! How are you?

Now open your connected Google Sheet. You should see the data generated by the Telegram interaction according to the information configured for your flow. This confirms that the Google Sheets Telegram integration is working successfully.

Why Use a Google Sheets Telegram Bot?

Connecting a Google Sheets Telegram bot can make Telegram automation much more useful for businesses. You can use it to keep customer information organized in a familiar spreadsheet while allowing BotSailor to handle Telegram conversations automatically.

BotSailor describes Google Sheets integration as useful for real-time data collection, lead management, customer information, campaign management, and chatbot workflows. For example, you could create Telegram automations for:

  • ●Lead Generation: Save new Telegram leads directly into Google Sheets.
  • ●Customer Support: Record support requests for your team to review.
  • ●Event Registration: Collect participants' names, contact details, and other information.
  • ●Product Inquiries: Record people interested in particular products or services.
  • ●Surveys: Send Telegram questions and organize submitted information in Google Sheets.
  • ●CRM Management: Use Google Sheets as a simple database for Telegram subscriber information.

Important Tips

  • ● Before testing your Botsailor Telegram bot with Google Sheets, make sure your Google account remains connected and the appropriate sheet has been selected inside the bot flow.
  • ● If you create custom column headers, keep them simple and clean. BotSailor recommends alphanumeric headers and advises avoiding spaces and special characters.
  • ● If your newly created or imported sheet does not appear immediately, use the Sync Data option on the Google Integration page before configuring your bot flow.

Final Thoughts

The Botsailor Google Sheets integration provides a simple way to connect Telegram conversations with structured spreadsheet data. Once you integrate Google Sheets with Telegram, your BotSailor Telegram bot can automatically handle a workflow that would otherwise require manual data entry.

The entire setup involves four main stages:

Connect Google Account → Create Google Sheet → Configure Telegram Keyword Reply → Sync Data to Google Sheets

After setting it up once, you can expand the same concept into lead-generation bots, registration bots, surveys, support workflows, customer databases, and other Telegram automation.

If you are already using a Botsailor Telegram bot, connecting it with Google Sheets is one of the easiest ways to turn normal Telegram conversations into organized, usable business data.
