
#1903-Bot pauses on WhatsApp ad auto-message
Hi BotSailor team,
I’d like to report an issue that happens when a user contacts us via a WhatsApp traffic ad. The first message in the conversation is automatically sent by WhatsApp to the user, not written by the user. It’s like WhatsApp is initiating the conversation with a system-generated message (usually the ad’s default greeting).
In the WhatsApp Business app, this message shows up as if it were sent from the business to the user, even though it was triggered by the ad click. However, in BotSailor, this initial message causes the bot to pause unexpectedly, without any indication of pause in the chat interface. As a result, the automation doesn’t run, and the user is left without a response.
Is there any way to detect or bypass this type of system message so that the bot flow can trigger normally?
