#2582-Trial package disable not working
Maxs
The "disable trial package" functionality is not working as expected. Even after disabling, users are still able to access or receive the trial.
Disabling the trial package should completely prevent users from accessing any trial benefits.
Feature Request:
Request to allow marking any paid plan as a trial-based plan, so we can:
- Offer trials on paid plans
- Charge users for trial access (paid trial)
- Configure trial duration and pricing flexibly
This would help in better monetization and controlled onboarding.

Dear User,
Thank you for raising this.
I'd like to clarify how the Disable trial package feature currently works.
Disabling a trial package does NOT remove access for users who are already assigned that package.
It only hides the package from the front end (e.g., pricing page, signup options) so that new users cannot select it.
If a user already has the trial package assigned before it was disabled, they will continue to access and receive trial benefits until the trial period ends or their assignment is manually changed.
So the behavior you're seeing is actually expected — not a bug.
Regarding your feature request
"Allow marking any paid plan as a trial-based plan with flexible duration, pricing, and paid trial access"
Unfortunately, this is not currently possible with the existing system. The trial logic is tied specifically to the trial package type, and we do not have the ability to convert paid plans into trial-based plans or charge users for trial access at this time.
We understand the value of what you're asking for — especially for monetization and controlled onboarding — and we'll log this as a feature request for future consideration.
If you need to completely block access for existing trial users, you would need to manually change their package or expire their access.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Kamrul Hasan
