#2586-Add / Allow More File Formats

A reseller is complaining he cant upload zip files to live chat, also saying other similar tools support following formats, can you please enable them:

Video: ogg, mp4, mov, webm, quicktime, avi

Audio: mp3, mpeg, opus, ogg, amr, aac, m4a, wav

Image: png, jpeg, gif, bmp, webp

Document: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, zip, 7z, rar, tar, xml, csv, json, rtf, txt, plain, .3gpp, x-7z-compressed, vnd.rar, x-tar, msword

Thank you for your feature request. Please note that not all file formats are supported by Meta. Below is the list of formats supported by Meta, along with BotSailor’s current support status:

Video Formats (Meta Supported):

.3gp, .mp4 (All are supported in BotSailor)

Audio Formats (Meta Supported):

.aac, .amr, .mp3, .m4a, .ogg (BotSailor currently supports .amr and .mp3)

Image Formats (Meta Supported):

.jpg, .png (All are supported in BotSailor)

Document Formats (Meta Supported):

.txt, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf (All are supported in BotSailor)

Based on this, the additional audio formats that can be supported in BotSailor are: .aac, .m4a, and .ogg. We will proceed with adding these formats.
