Dear BotSailor Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I wanted to submit a feature request regarding the newly announced WhatsApp API Calling (voice calling via WhatsApp) by Meta. As you may be aware, Meta recently launched this feature, allowing businesses to make and receive voice calls through the WhatsApp Business API.

I would like to ask: when can we expect this feature to be available in the BotSailor dashboard?

Here are a few additional points and use cases that may help with planning and prioritization:

  • Business-initiated & user-initiated calling: The ability for both users to call the business and for the business to place calls to customers via WhatsApp.
  • Seamless thread integration: Voice calls should integrate within existing chat threads so that conversation history (chat + call logs) remains coherent.
  • Consent & privacy controls: For outbound calling, user consent mechanisms must be in place to comply with WhatsApp’s policies.
  • Integration with existing flows: Ability to trigger calls programmatically in a flow (for example, after user request or escalation).
  • Call recording / transcription (if policy allows): Logging or summarizing calls for agent reference (if allowed under privacy rules).
  • Regional availability & rollout timeline: Insights on which countries or regions will be supported first and roadmap for rollout.
  • Fallback to messaging: If a call is not answered, automatically fallback to message (text) option.
  • Metrics & analytics: Call duration, missed calls, user response times, etc.
  • Support for VoIP and connectivity flexibility: Integration with existing business telecom systems or routing (if allowed by WhatsApp).

We believe this feature will greatly enhance the capabilities of BotSailor and help businesses deliver more direct and rich customer interactions.

Please consider this request and share any roadmap or tentative timeline for its rollout.

Yes, It's much needed feature.

We are facing an issue with whatsapp.

My client's support team call customers on whatsapp to configure inverters, but after a few calls, meta block those whatsapp numbers assuming them spam.

I just talked to botsailor support on whatsapp. And they said to open a feature request post.


Please consider this request and share any roadmap or tentative timeline for its rollout.

A message for @BotSailor Team,

Not including this feature within the platform will kill our business because everybody now is asking for such a feature.

Also, All of your competitors are already step ahead of you by implementing this features months ago:


For us, we can easily switch to new Ai platforms that support this feature but for you guys (BotSailor Team), you are going to loose you entire business by using us as your clients one by one.


9 Month since requesting this feature and no implementation yet neither not a single word form the team, so please we need a clarification to know what path to choose.
