Hi team,


I’d like to request a feature enhancement for the WhatsApp Send Message API:


Endpoint:

@abc.domain.com.../send


🚀 Feature Request


Currently, within the 24-hour customer-initiated session window, we can send messages without using template messages. However, I would like to request support for:


  • Sending media messages (images, videos, documents, etc.)
  • Sending interactive buttons (reply buttons)
  • Sending media + interactive buttons together in a single message


🎯 Use Case


This would significantly improve user engagement. For example:

  • Sending a product image with “Buy Now” / “View Details” buttons
  • Sharing documents with quick action responses
  • Creating more interactive and seamless customer conversations


❓ Current Gap


At the moment we can send only text message and this is not enough in industry trend.


🙏 Request


Please consider:

  1. Enabling interactive message support (buttons) within session messages
  2. Allowing media + buttons in a single API request
  3. Providing clear documentation and request/response examples


This feature would make the API much more powerful and flexible for real-time customer interactions because this is very basic requirement.

Thank you. It would be great to send buttons and more interactive modules directly via API to create complex, variable AI flows.

Seeing the recent implementation of media and interactive buttons via API is fantastic. Great job on delivering this so quickly!

Building on @Admin's suggestion regarding interactive e-commerce modules, I would like to reinforce a very specific and highly urgent e-commerce feature: the "Copy Code" button for Dynamic PIX (WhatsApp Payments API).

Since you have just successfully implemented interactive reply buttons, adding support for the order_details interactive message would be the perfect next step.

Why this matters now:

  • It allows sending a native invoice where the customer clicks a button to copy the dynamic PIX code directly inside the chat.
  • It uses a very similar interactive framework to what you just built, but requires passing a payment_settings object (with type: "pix_dynamic_code").
  • This is an absolute game-changer for Brazilian businesses relying on automated billing.

I recently opened a detailed feature request for this on the forum, but seeing how fast the API is evolving here makes me hopeful. Would it be possible to include this specific payment button capability in your upcoming API updates?
