#2418-Request: Separate Permissions for Team Members
Hi Team,
I wanted to share a small concern we’re facing with team member permissions.
At the moment, team members can’t add internal notes unless we enable the Subscriber Manager permission. The problem is, once Subscriber Manager is enabled, team members can see all contact details, which becomes a big privacy issue for us.
Sometimes team members end up accessing or misusing contact information unintentionally, and that creates problems on our side.
What we’re requesting is a bit more flexibility in permissions.
It would really help if the following actions could be given as separate permission options, without needing to enable Subscriber Manager:
Add internal notesPause or resume chatsAssign labels to conversationsEnter values into custom fieldsAssign chats to other agentsThis way, team members can do their work properly without having access to sensitive contact data.
We’d really appreciate it if you could consider this change. It would make team management much smoother and safer for us.
I want to add one more point to this thread.
Currently, the options to 1- clear chat history and 2-delete a subscriber are visible to all team members in the Shared Inbox. These are sensitive actions and should not be available to every user by default.
There should be permission level controls to enable or disable these two actions based on role. This is important to prevent accidental data loss and misuse.
Please confirm if permission control for these actions can be added.
