The heart of Bangladesh witnessed an audacious and life-changing event in April 2025: a 1,000 km cycling trip spanning from Tetulia (Banglabandha Zero Point) in the north to Teknaf in the south. It wasn’t a leisurely stroll or a race, it was a march directed towards creating awareness for a zero emission carbon goal alongside calling for an action toward a collective sustainable future.

A corporate sponsor BotSailor, a Xerone IT innovation, proudly embraced this cause. Our involvement with the Rajshahi University Cyclist (RU Cyclists) was not purely financial, but based on strong beliefs and was aligned with our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on environmentalism as well as on fostering and empowering youth leaders, in addition to promoting socially responsible business endeavors.

A Journey of Purpose: Tetulia to Teknaf, 1,000 km for the Planet

The trip was composed of three students from Rajshahi University, all of whom were affiliated with the RU Cyclists community. With determination in their hearts and their legs moving at full force, they embarked on the daunting mission of cycling the entire length of Bangladesh in eight days – and doing so with zero carbon emissions.

📍 Route & Highlights

  • Day 1: Banglabandha Zero Point, start point, Tetulia
  • Days 2-3: Cycling through Rangpur, Bogura, and Sirajganj
  • Day 4: Riding through the capital Dhaka – the most bustling region in the country
  • Day 5: Riding past Narayanganj, crossing the stunning Meghna River Bridge

  • Day 7: Starting in the hills of Chattogram

  • The public discussion reached thousands on social media, further advancing the sustainability dialogue
  • It was acknowledged and sponsored by one of the first corporate tech sponsors for large scale student led climate rides in the country
  • Advocating for climate-conscious youth movements.

  • Leveraging our influence to foster sustainability in society and digital spaces.

This eco-friendly routing was designed to showcase the diverse geographic and socio-cultural environments found throughout Bangladesh. The northern rural areas as well as the southern parts of Dhaka are heavily congested, but are beauties waiting to be experienced by the passerby. Cyclists, for instance, can observe the effects of the climate crisis firsthand.

Why This Matters: BotSailor’s CSR Commitment

At BotSailor, we understand CSR as something that gives us direction rather than just a responsibility. Our support for this initiative was underpinned by four defining elements:

The riding advocates what we believe and stand for, emphasizing action as the leading mantra. With our nature as a digital platform, it is clear that the advancement of technology must go hand in hand with taking care of Mother Nature.

🚴‍♂️ Youth Empowerment

Working with the Rajshahi University students allows us to give volume to young passionate voices, who are the changemakers of the world tomorrow.

💚 Community Connections

The purpose of this ride was to bring together different people, companies, and local institutions along with one vision: reducing carbon emission for a better future.

🌍 Global Relevance, Local Action.

The slogan of ‘zero carbon emission features, praising BotSailor for having this recognizable slogan’ covers the world even if the ride took place in Bangladesh. Supporting this effort is also our contribution to the larger scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals such as climate action SDG 13.
