How to Send Shopify Order Notifications to WhatsApp by BotSailor Webhook Workflow

BotSailor recently introduced a new feature – Webhook Workflow. With the feature, you can send WhatsApp messages to your Facebook Page subscribers, WooCommerce Order Notifications, WooCommerce order status updates notifications, and Shopify order notifications.

In this article, I will show you how to send Shopify order notifications via WhatsApp. It's very easy process to integrate your shopify store with WhatsApp using BotSailor app. You can do various type of Shopify integration with WhatsApp for Order Notification Send, COD verification, COD Convert to Prepaid & many other stuff inside WhatsApp.  In this article we will describe in details about how to send order notification to customers WhatsApp using Shopify integration.

First, you need to create a message template in BotSailor. And the message template will be sent as Shopify notifications.

Second, you have to create a new Webhook workflow and add the Webhook to the WooCommerce store. Then, you have to map data.

Now, you have to create a message template in the BotSailor. And the message template will be sent as Shopify Notifications.

How to create a Message Template for WhatsApp by BotSailor

In the message template, you have to use three variables: ProductList, totalPrice, estimatedDeliveryDate. 

After creating a message template, you have to create a Webhook Workflow.

To create a Webhook Workflow, follow the instructions below: 

1. Click on the Webhook Workflow menu in the left sidebar of the dashboard ->  click on the create button to create a Webhook workflow
2. Provide a name in the Workflow Name field. 
3. Select the WhatsApp account from where you want to send the message.
4. In the message template field, select the message template you have created.
5. Click on the create workflow button.

• Now copy the Webhook URL

You have to use the Webhook callback URL in your Shopify settings. 

• Go to your Shopify Admin account -> the settings option ->  the notification.
• Click on the create webhook button in the webhook section. 

1. On the event field, select the Order Creation option from the drop-down list.
2. Keep the format as JSON. 
3. Put the Webhook Callback url in the URL field.
4. Now click on the Save button.

• Click on the Capture Webhook Response to get the Webhook Response.

Then return to Shopify settings. 

• Click on the send test notification button

• Go to the BotSailor and wait for the response. 
• A moment later, you will get the response with sample data.

Now you have to configure the Webhook Response Mapping.

To configure the Webhook Response Mapping, you have to fill out some fields: 

1. Select the shipping_address>phone number option in the PHONE NUMBER field. 
2. Select the total_price option in the TOTALPRICE field.
3. Select line_items in the PRODUCTLIST field. 
4. Select created_at option in the ESTIMATEDDELIVERYDATE field.
5. Click on the Save Workflow button to save the workflow. 

• Place an order in the Shopify store to check the integration.

1. Go to the BotSailor to see the report
2. The status is pending. 
3. Wait for a moment. 
4. Check the report again. 
5. The status is completed. 

Now check the WhatsApp account for the notification.

That is how you send Shopify order notifications via WhatsApp by BotSailor.
