Send Shopify Order Notifications to WhatsApp by Webhook Workflow

BotSailor recently introduced a new feature – Webhook Workflow. With the feature, you can send WhatsApp messages to your Facebook Page subscribers, WooCommerce Order Notifications, WooCommerce order status updates notifications, and Shopify order notifications.

In this article, I will show you how to send Shopify order notifications via WhatsApp. It's very easy process to integrate your shopify store with WhatsApp using BotSailor app. You can do various type of Shopify integration with WhatsApp for Order Notification Send, COD verification, COD Convert to Prepaid & many other stuff inside WhatsApp. In this article we will describe in details about how to send order notification to customers WhatsApp using Shopify integration.

First, you need to create a message template in BotSailor. And the message template will be sent as Shopify notifications.

Second, you have to create a new Webhook workflow and add the Webhook to the WooCommerce store. Then, you have to map data.

Now, you have to create a message template in the BotSailor. And the message template will be sent as Shopify Notifications.

How to create a Message Template for WhatsApp by BotSailor

In the message template, you have to use three variables: ProductList, totalPrice, estimatedDeliveryDate.

After creating a message template, you haveto create a Webhook Workflow.

To create a Webhook Workflow, follow the instructions below:

1. Click on theWebhook Workflowmenu in the left sidebar of the dashboard -> click on thecreate buttonto create a Webhook workflow
2. Provide anamein theWorkflow Name field.
3. Select theWhatsApp accountfrom where you want to send the message.
4. In themessage template field, select themessage templateyou have created.
5. Click on thecreate workflow button.

• Now copy theWebhook URL

You have to use theWebhook callback URLin your Shopify settings.

• Go to yourShopify Adminaccount -> thesettingsoption ->the notification.
• Click on thecreate webhook buttonin the webhook section.

1. On theevent field, select theOrder Creation optionfrom the drop-down list.
2. Keep the format asJSON.
3. Put theWebhook Callback urlin the URL field.
4. Now click on theSave button.

• Click on theCapture Webhook Responseto get the Webhook Response.

Then return to Shopify settings.

• Click on the sendtest notificationbutton

• Go to theBotSailorand wait for theresponse.
• A moment later, you will get theresponsewith sample data.

Now you have to configure the Webhook Response Mapping.

To configure the Webhook Response Mapping, you have to fill out some fields:

1. Select theshipping_address>phone numberoption in thePHONE NUMBERfield.
2. Selectthe total_priceoption in theTOTALPRICEfield.
3. Selectline_itemsin thePRODUCTLISTfield.
4. Selectcreated_at optionin theESTIMATEDDELIVERYDATEfield.
5. Click on theSave Workflow buttonto save the workflow.

• Place an order in the Shopify store to check the integration.

1. Go to theBotSailorto see thereport
2. The status is pending.
3. Wait for a moment.
4. Check the report again.
5. The status is completed.

Now check the WhatsApp account for the notification.
