We're excited to announce that BotSailor's popular Shared Inbox feature is now available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for Android, iOS, and Desktop platforms. This means you can now enjoy all the powerful features of our Shared Inbox in a dedicated app-like experience, without the need to keep multiple browser tabs open or navigate through your dashboard every time.

With this new PWA, accessing your customer conversations becomes as simple as clicking an app icon on your device. Whether you're managing customer inquiries from your desktop, tablet, or smartphone, the Shared Inbox is now just one tap away, providing faster access, improved focus, and a more streamlined workflow for your customer communication needs.

Automatic Installation Prompt:

When you first visit the Shared Inbox, your browser will automatically detect that it's a PWA and display an installation prompt or notification. Simply click on the Install button in this automatic pop-up message, and BotSailor's Shared Inbox will be installed instantly on your devices. This is the quickest and easiest way to install the app.

If the automatic installation prompt doesn't appear on your device, please follow the manual installation methods below for your specific platform:

Installing on Desktop Computers:

1. Log in to BotSailor from any web browser like Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or any other browser.

2. Then go to Shared Inbox from BotSailor's dashboard's left navigation menu.

3. Click on the Settings icon and then select Install App. This will open a modal to install the app. Click on the Install App button to install, or you can click on the "Maybe Later" button to deny.

4. As soon as you click on the Installbutton, BotSailor's Shared Inbox will be installed instantly on your desktop.

The installed app will look like the below image.

Installing on Android Devices:

1. Log in to BotSailor from Google Chrome and then go to Shared Inbox.

2. Click on the Settings icon and then select Install App. A pop-up window will appear where you will find the option to install the app or deny the installation for later.

3. As soon as you click on the Installbutton, BotSailor's Shared Inbox will be installed on your Android device as an app.

4. Alternatively, you can go to the options menu in the Chrome browser, select "Add to Home Screen", and click Install.

Installing on iOS Devices:

1. Log in to BotSailorfrom the Safari browser and then navigate to Shared Inbox.

2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari, scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen", then tap Add to install the PWA on your home screen.
