Hello, BotSailor community! π
Every year ends with the same quiet question.
What did we actually do with it? π
Looking back at 2026, there wasn't one single moment we could point to. It was a long run of small, honest decisions: build it, test it, question it, and sometimes take it apart and build it again.
---
ποΈ WHAT WE BUILT
This year, we shipped over 110 updates.
- We redesigned the interface, so BotSailor feels cleaner and calmer
- We rebuilt the Flow Builder from the ground up
- We made AI Training far more efficient, with about 85% fewer tokens
- We grew the Shared Inbox into a place where conversations and customer context live together
- We strengthened security, with IP Manager, login activity, and 2FA controls
- We expanded the API, with multiple keys, access control, and many new endpoints
- We introduced WhatsApp Calling in beta
π§ͺ WHAT WE TRIED, AND WHAT WE CHANGED
Not everything worked the first time. Some ideas didn't hold up, and we let them go. Some things we had already built, we rebuilt, because "good enough" stopped feeling good enough. Many of the best changes began as a message from one of you, and we went back and improved them again.
That's what building in the open looks like: less polish, more learning.

π BUT ONE QUESTION KEPT COMING BACK
Every great product starts with a frustration. Ours was simple.
A customer messages a business. They ask about a product. Then the price. Then, "where is my order?" Then they need a human.
One AI assistant was being asked to do all of it. Sales, support, orders, everything. And no matter how well we trained it, one brain trying to be everyone was always going to fall short.
2026 was the year we decided to rethink it.
A couple of months ago, we launched Multi-Agent AI. π€
Getting there wasn't a straight line. We tried ideas that didn't work. We rewrote how agents think, hand off, and remember. And when we looked back, it was the clearest answer to the question we started with.
---
π‘ THE IDEA: DON'T BUILD A BIGGER BOT. BUILD A TEAM.
Instead of one assistant doing everything, you create specialists, each with its own role, instructions, and knowledge:
- A Sales Agent that recommends and converts
- A Lead Qualification Agent that asks the right questions and captures the answers
- A Support Agent that resolves issues from your own knowledge
- An Order Agent that checks live order status
- An Appointment Agent that handles bookings
- A Human Handover Agent that knows when a person should step in
Then BotSailor does the part that makes it feel effortless: it routes every customer to the right specialist, automatically.
---
π§ AGENTS THAT REMEMBER. AGENTS THAT ACT.
When a conversation moves from sales to support, the next agent already knows the context. Your customer never repeats themselves.
And these agents don't just talk. They work:
- Add labels and start sequences
- Save customer details into custom fields
- Trigger your existing flows
- Call your APIs and explain the result in plain language
- Look up Shopify and WooCommerce orders, recommend products, and process cancellations
- Hand off to a teammate or a whole team, at the right moment
You define all of it in the system prompt. Type ## and choose an action. That's it.
---
π KNOWLEDGE, DESIGNED FOR EACH SPECIALIST
Every agent learns from its own knowledge, and you can now combine multiple sources together: written content, website URLs, files, product images, Google Sheets, and APIs.
Sales knowledge for the Sales Agent. Support knowledge for the Support Agent. Focused agents give better answers.
