How to Enable and Use AI Intent Detection

AI Intent Detection in BotSailor can be utilized across various channels, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, and Website chatbots. The following demonstration uses WhatsApp as an example.

Step 1: Access the Bot Manager and AI Assistant

  • Log in to your BotSailor account.
  • From the left-side menu, select the relevant channel (e.g., Chatbot Manager> WhatsApp Bot).
  • Choose your desired bot from the bot list.
  • Click on the AI Assistant option within your selected bot.
  • In the AI Assistant panel, toggle the Enable Intent Detection Trigger button to "ENABLED."

 

Step 2: Create Intent Detection Campaign

  • Click on the CREATE button next to SELECT INTENT DETECTION CAMPAIGN.

  • A modal window will appear for creating intent detection.

Step 3: Configure Intent Detection Campaign

  • Enter a clear and descriptive name in the Intent Detection Campaign Name field.

Add relevant examples of phrases users might use in the Example Phrases for Intent field. These phrases help the AI understand when to trigger this intent.

Here, you have multiple trigger options:

  • Enable Bot Flow Trigger: Activate this toggle and select a predefined bot flow from the dropdown to trigger when the intent is detected. You can also create the trigger and select refresh to update in this page.

  • Enable Agent Assignment (Optional): Automatically assigns the conversation to a live agent when this intent is detected.

Enable AI-Driven Responses (Optional): Enables AI to autonomously respond to detected intents.

Step 5: Save Intent Detection Campaign

  • After completing the configuration, click Create to finalize your intent detection setup.

Step 6: Select the Intent Detection Campaign

  • After creation, refresh and select your new campaign from the SELECT INTENT DETECTION CAMPAIGN dropdown list.

Step 7: Save Your Settings

  • Click Save Settings to ensure all your configurations are properly applied.

You have now successfully enabled and configured AI Intent Detection in BotSailor. Your chatbot will now effectively recognize user intents and trigger appropriate automated actions based on the configured settings across all supported channels.
