No, you must first connect your Google account to BotSailor through Settings → Google Sheets and authorize access. Only Sheets from connected accounts can be imported.
Sheet must have proper column headers (e.g., phone, name, email).
Column headers should be alphanumeric only no spaces or special characters.
Phone numbers must include country codes (e.g., +1 for USA, +91 for India).
Yes. The phone number field is mandatory because it identifies WhatsApp subscribers inside BotSailor. Without it, the contact cannot be imported.
The Sheet ID is part of the Google Sheet URL.
Example: In https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AbcXYZ12345/edit, the ID is 1AbcXYZ12345.
Yes. During field mapping, you can assign additional columns from your Google Sheet to custom fields inside BotSailor.
This helps you personalize future broadcasts even more.
If fields are not mapped correctly:
Only the mapped fields will be imported.
Missing fields will be empty.
It’s highly recommended to review your mappings carefully before confirming the import.
No. Importing from Google Sheets in BotSailor only adds new subscribers.
It does not update existing contacts automatically. For updating, manual editing or automation setups would be needed.
BotSailor allows bulk importing of contacts.
However, for best performance, it’s recommended to import sheets containing up to 5,000–10,000 rows per import.
For larger lists, break them into multiple sheets.
Currently, imports from Google Sheets are a manual process (you initiate the import).
Live sync between Sheets and BotSailor is not available at the moment.
Once imported, you can:
-Launch broadcasts to them immediately
-Add them into labels, sequences, or flow campaigns
-Personalize WhatsApp messages using dynamic fields like name, service interest, etc.
